Alex has explored her passion for animal care through academic pursuits, with studies at the University of Northwestern St. Paul and the University of Findlay, where she majored in Animal Science and Equine Business Management. Her two Shiba Inu rescues, Newt and Nana, from Underdog Rescue, reflect her dedication to animal welfare. Newt’s outgoing personality complements Nana’s shy sweetness perfectly. Outside of work, Alex is an avid horseback rider, fitness enthusiast, gardener, and baker. She also brings her competitive spirit from playing NCAA Division II lacrosse to her role at Shamrock Animal Hospital.
